1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Monerich (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the iOS app with bundle identifier com.monerich.app and this website (https://monerich.com). Monerich is a money expense manager built for Indonesia (IDR, Bahasa & English).

We designed Monerich so that you do not need to give us your financial data at all. If you do not create an account, we have no account to link data to.

2. Data Not Collected

For the purpose of Apple’s App Privacy label, Monerich declares Data Not Collected. This matches our PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy where NSPrivacyTracking = false and NSPrivacyCollectedDataTypes = [].

  • No financial info transmitted to our servers (there are no servers for transactions).
  • No contact info, identifiers, diagnostics, or usage analytics collected.
  • No tracking across apps or websites, no advertising identifier.
  • This website sets no cookies for tracking. Basic server logs may exist at the hosting layer (Vercel) for security, not linked to you.
If we ever add optional cloud sync (CloudKit private database), this policy will be updated and you will be asked to opt in. Until then, everything stays on device.

3. On-Device & Offline-first

Transactions, wallets, categories and budgets are stored locally on your iPhone using Apple’s SwiftData (local ModelContainer) with cloudKitDatabase: .none by default. You can use Monerich fully offline. Deleting the app deletes the local database. You can also export a backup (JSON/CSV) from Settings — that file is yours to keep.

What stays on device

  • Wallet list (Cash, BCA, Mandiri, BNI, BRI, GoPay, OVO, DANA, ShopeePay, Other) + balances.
  • Transactions (amount as Decimal, never Double), categories, budgets.
  • Onboarding state in UserDefaults (reason API CA92.1).

4. No Bank Login

Monerich never asks for your BCA Klik, Mandiri, GoPay, OVO, DANA or ShopeePay login. No screen scraping, no QRIS credential access, no SMS reading. You type amounts manually or via the big numpad and choose a category; Monerich suggests categories locally from keywords and your own history.

5. Permissions

  • Face ID / Passcode (optional): LocalAuthentication to lock the app. Biometric data never leaves the Secure Enclave and never reaches us.
  • Notifications (optional): Daily 21:00 reminder and budget 80% alert via UNUserNotificationCenter. You can deny or disable anytime in iOS Settings.
  • No contacts, location, photos, or files access required for core use.

6. Children's Privacy

Monerich is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. Since we collect no data at all, there is nothing to retain, but if you believe a child has provided information through a support email, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Retention & Deletion

Because data lives on device, retention is controlled by you. Remove a transaction or wallet in-app to delete it, or delete the app to remove all local data. Exports you create are files on your device — delete them like any file. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve your request.

8. Security

We rely on iOS platform protections: Data Protection entitlement (NSFileProtectionComplete), Keychain for sensitive tokens (if any), and App Group isolation if widgets are added. No network transport of your transactions means no interception risk on our side. Keep your iPhone passcode enabled and iOS updated.

9. Changes

If we change this policy (for example, to add optional CloudKit sync), we will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, show a notice in the app or on this page. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
